Despite publishing papers daily, being alert and active online all the time, Prothom Alo does various social works out of responsibility towards the country, society and people, from the very first day of its publishing. Through the establishment of Prothom Alo Trust, these initiatives have got a more integrated form. The Trust functions throughout the year.

In 2005 Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman won the Ramon Magsaysay Award. Prothom Alo's social activities started when the prize money was allocated in three parts equal to Tk. 33 Lakh to acid-burned women, anti-drug movement and victimized journalist support fund.

Prothom Alo employees are also involved in such social activities by donating from their salary. After four years, when Prothom Alo Trust was formed on May 23, 2009 according to the Trust Act of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Government, all funds and social activities of Prothom Alo came under the purview of the trust. Prothom Alo Trust is the collective form of all the social activities of Prothom Alo. Prothom Alo is the main promoter of the trust.

- Prothom Alo Trust is a non-profit organization. Prothom Alo Trust is managed with the financial support of the public and various welfare organizations. Prothom Alo Trust's income and expenditure statement is regularly calculated every year.
